I’ve noticed an increase in “He gets us” and other faith-based ads on TV - even during the Superbowl, where a 30-second spot costs approximately 8 MILLION DOLLARS. The NFL and the exclusive broadcast network certainly aren’t giving those ads away.
The “He gets us” campaign was formerly operated by the Servant Foundation and now is allegedly funded by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a conservative Christian legal advocacy group. Mike Johnson is a former ADF attorney and now Speaker of the House of Representatives. Other affiliates of ADF include Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barret, former VP Mike Pence, and a couple of other notables.
ADF is responsible for the Mississippi legislation that resulted in the Dobbs v. Jackson case that ended Roe v. Wade, is staunchly anti-LGBTQ+, against all forms of contraception, and opposes anti-discrimination laws across the country. The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated the organization an extremist group.

Not to be outdone, the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a Christian supremacist group whose goal is to bring about Christian dominion over all aspects of our society. "The Southern Poverty Law Center characterizes NAR as "the greatest threat to American democracy that most people have never heard of” and there is significant overlap with the names listed in writings about the ADF.
The NAR is more subtle than the ADF and its beliefs/goals are summarized as follows:
The Kingdom of God is advanced on earth through the church gaining dominion"
"Apostles, aided by prophets, constitute the church's strategic spiritual leadership"
"The Kingdom of God will come through spiritual transformation of culture and society"
"The end-times church will be the complete manifestation of Jesus on earth"
"A strong focus on prophetic insight and supernatural manifestations"
"New revelation and casual use of the Bible"
NAR also believes that “the end times will be an ‘optimistic’ period of the Kingdom of God being established on earth through the actions of obedient Christians, leading to the Second Coming.” Further, they are opposed to much of the Federal government and the Democratic Party - both being viewed as subject to demonic forces.
